Follow-up & Care Coordination

Dr. Walaa Mohamed El-Naggar Updated:

In brief

After a diagnosis, a journey begins that we walk together. Your child grows, their needs change, medicine doses change with their weight, and they may need school support or new sessions. At follow-up we check their progress, adjust the plan when needed, and stay with you at every stage.

Overview

Regular follow-up lets us notice any change early, make sure your child is comfortable on their treatment, and keep everyone who helps them — at home, at school and at therapy — working to the same plan. And you are a key part of that team.

Signs that call for a doctor’s opinion

  • It’s time for the regular check-up
  • Seizures came back or something new appeared
  • You notice tiredness or a change after medicine
  • A change in weight, sleep or school
  • You need a report for school or therapy

Seek emergency care straight away for:

  • A seizure lasting more than 5 minutes
  • Very sleepy or a sudden change in alertness
  • Constant vomiting that stops medicine or food

Frequently asked questions

How often does my child need follow-up?

It differs for each child. The doctor sets the next visit at the end of every appointment.

I can’t make it. What should I do?

Cancel or change it on the request page with your reference and tracking code, so another child can use the slot.

Can follow-up be online?

For some stable children, especially those living outside Egypt, with an in-person visit when we need to examine.

Can you write reports for school?

Yes, just ask for it during the visit.

This information is educational and should not be used to diagnose your child or change treatment without a medical assessment.
