A remote video consultation with Dr. Walaa El-Naggar

Who is this for?

When distance stands between you and a specialist opinion

A diagnosis that is still unclear

Neurological symptoms or loss of skills without a clear explanation yet.

A genetic report that needs explaining

An exome or gene test result and you want to understand what it means.

A second opinion before a big decision

Before changing treatment or travelling, to review the plan with a specialist.

Follow-up between visits

Children followed by the clinic who live abroad most of the year.

How it works

Four steps from your home to a clear care plan

  1. 01

    Send your request and reports

Share the reason and the tests you have; the team checks the file is complete before booking.

  2. 02

    The video consultation

A session with Dr. Walaa covering history and symptoms, your videos of the child and the results.

  3. 03

    Written recommendations

A summary of suggested steps and further tests, addressed to your treating doctor where you live.

  4. 04

    A Cairo visit if needed

If an in-person exam is needed, the clinic visit and tests are arranged before you arrive.

Prepare the medical file

What helps to send before the consultation?

The more complete the file, the more useful the consultation. Send what you have; the team will tell you what is missing.

  • MRI or CT reports, and the disc images if possible
  • EEG (brain wave) reports
  • Blood and urine tests for metabolism
  • Any genetic test, such as an exome test
  • Current medicines and doses
  • A short video of any seizures or unusual movements

To be clear

What a remote consultation can and cannot do

It can

  • Discuss history and symptoms in detail
  • Explain reports and genetic tests
  • Suggest further tests and next steps
  • Work alongside your local doctor

It does not replace

  • A hands-on neurological exam when one is needed
  • Ongoing care from a doctor where you live
  • Emergencies: go to the nearest hospital straight away

  • An appointment set before you travelThe clinic visit is planned around your dates in Egypt.
  • Tests planned aheadYou know which tests are needed and where, so your days are well used.
  • Follow-up after you returnResults that arrive later are reviewed remotely after you go home.

Common questions

About remote consultations

Does a remote consultation replace a clinic visit?

Not always. It helps you understand the condition and reports and decide the next step; if your child needs a hands-on exam, a Cairo visit is arranged.

Which reports should we send?

MRI and EEG reports, metabolic and genetic tests such as WES, the medication list and a video of any seizures. Send what you have and the team will tell you what is missing.

How does the video session work?

The team agrees a time that suits your time zone and sends the call details beforehand. A stable connection helps, and having your child present if possible.

Are medicines prescribed during the consultation?

You receive written recommendations for your treating doctor where you live, who prescribes according to local rules.

Which language is the consultation in?

Arabic or English, with genetic and medical results explained in plain language.

The first step

Send your request, and we will arrange the consultation with you

Mention where you live and your time zone in the notes, and the team will contact you to set a time.
